Couldn't get through it.
light and quick to read. Each chapter has a recipe or tips on wedding planning which is kind of interesting and it's from these recipes that I decided to add cashews to my brownies (makes them quite tasty). I could have done without the occasionally overt Christian undertone but it wasn't enough to make me not want to finish reading, just made me roll my eyes.
3.5 stars. Liked it but maybe just not as much as some of the other books I've been reading lately. I was able to get emotionally attached to the character, which is great. And I look forward to reading the second book to see where it goes from here. The ending definitely left it open for the second book - so it felt more like a season finale making you hang on for more. Hope that the sequel lives up.
