This was a really interesting book. I wanted to read this because it had such a huge impact on graphic novels and comic books. But the problems it that it really just sort of brings me down and pisses me off. The art is amazing, given, but there is a weird gender dynamic that I just can't wrap my head around. It definitely brought up the same issues that I had after watching Sin City, which was written about the same time. All in all, I find it to be a pretty depressing book. I guess that is to be expected because it seems to mostly be dealing with the disempowerment felt by straight white men.
