This book seemed to be everywhere before I read it: bookstores, my students knew it, and a girl in my English Seminar class did her huge paper on it. When I finally got around to reading it, I really enjoyed it a lot. I not only like reading about that time period, but I enjoyed the characters and story and the way the bees tied into everything. A great coming of age story.
