This was a cool book, but don't read it if you like suspense. It is more the telling of how a murder happened. Based on a true story. Got slightly tiresome for me, but it was still really good.
Great young adult dystopian book. Takes place in the future where there is a controlling government or "society" as the people call them. I liked that this book had some of the elements of the Hunger Games but not all the violence. In this futuristic society you are not allowed to choose your future spouse and are "matched" at a matching ceremony. The main character Cassia is matched with someone she has known all her life, but then finds out that it could possibly be a mistake and realizes there may be someone else she was supposed to matched with instead and the novel takes off from there. This book is the first in a trilogy. I plan to read the next one which comes out next month.
Cerise DeLand has once again created realistic characters with needs, wants, and desires so palpable your emotions are in sync with theirs. To read this review in its entirety, please visit http://www.blackravensreviews.com/?p=...
