This book was o.k.--would have enjoyed more about Paris/France itself (including climate/weather; architecture; food; etc.), but this was very much a memoir about Turnbull's acclimating to life in Paris with her significant other and moreso focused on her personal journey. The author is pretty candid in her assessment of the French as people, and I appreciated her avoidance of romanticizing every single thing about France (which often seems to be the case in many films/books taking place in France).
Personal memoir of author's plunge into massive clinical depression. Excellent read for anyone who has never had depression and is trying to understand it. Good chance reading it will make you depressed for a day or so. Still worth it.
