I've just finished this book. It's written by a father and daughter who've built on the seminal first work of the father. I found the book extremely useful and would not consider investing in company without having browsed through it to refresh myself on some of the issues I'd need to look out for. Things like pending litigation - while we assume that the future is bright, how many of us actually think of asking a question about litigation. The Gladstones have written this wel - you don't need an MBA or commerce degree to understand what they're saying. If you think you're likely to ever be in a position to either invest directly in a company, or to need investment from a VC firm, my advice is to get a copy of this book and keep it for future reference - this book is well worth owning.
