Not as good as the first one (Daemon), but it was a fun read nonetheless. Daemon was re ultimate techno-geek thriller, a totally implausible take-over-the-world scenario that nevertheless *felt* plausible because of all the accurate tech details and a very cool driving idea. Freedom was a fun continuation, with a few really nice ideas, but a lot of the geekiness was left behind in favor of preaching the author's political perspectives.
