I have never been a fan of chick-lit. Always seems too cheesy or unrealistic or superficial. But this book may single-handedly open my mind to the genre. As a teenager the main character makes a list of things she must do before she marries. But as she approaches the end of her list, her plans get a slight kink in them. I liked the characters, I liked the relationship. I liked the writing style. I read this book after a stressful week and it was just what I needed to relax and enjoy the rest of my weekend. A quick, enjoyable read.
5/10- rereading it again. it's my "fall-back book" So much wisdom- I just love it! Loved, it! Loved it! Loved it! It had everything I love... romance, frugality, temptation with the "finer" things... I just loved and could really relate to Polly! I will be buying this for my permanent collection and can't wait to re-read and highlight it!
