I read this one a while ago, but I remember really liking Bouton's conversational style of writing. His point of view on the game was really refreshing in that he approached it like a regular guy going to work everyday, rather than a guy getting caught up in the fame of professional sports. The way he told his story made him seem very approachable to me; like the type of guy I could hang out with. I would recommend this one, and if you like it, you'd probably also enjoy "If Chins Could Kill" by Bruce Campbell.
