This was a fun, easy read. I loved how Stiefvater was able to take that well known werewolf legend and breath some new life into it. Her idea was fantastic and just a little heartbreaking. The switching off between two first person POVs was disconcerting at first. But as I read on, it was easy to adjust to. What I really liked was how each chapter opening included the narrator and the temperature. It doesn’t make sense in the beginning but as you learn more about the wolves, it’s an interesting addition. I enjoyed the fated, almost star-crossed nature of Sam and Grace’s relationship. There’s something refreshing about their feelings and the lack of drama in them. The problems they face isn’t their feelings, but instead the very nature of being a werewolf. This is a great first book in a trilogy I would recommend to anyone in the mood for some romance and werewolves. Certainly not a humorous, flirty romance like “The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf”, but just as good of a read. For this review and others, check out Book Munchies.
