As a lifelong agnostico-atheist who once tried very hard not to be, it's no small thing for me that this and Madonna's hit single "Like a Prayer" (not to mention bitchin' video) are the closest I've ever come to having a religious experience. I like the constant interweaving and separating of the mundane and the profound, the idea of a journey with no destination, and definitely the point that, if there is a point, it's not going to stab you in your spiritual brain-heart and grok it. Very short read. I recommend reading it in the spring. I dunno, something about the aesthetic.

Did you know that Humans and Martians can mate and lay eggs? Neither did I. Actually this story is worth reading if for nothing more then it's place in establishing the super-hero genre in Western Literature, seriously.

I'm addicted to YouTube. I stumbled upon Josh Sundquist's channel while watching iJustine. He kept promoting this new book that he wrote. Once I watched more of his videos I gradually began to find out that he is a cancer survivor and an amputee. I was curious to pick up the book and learn more about his story. Cancer has touched my life and it ended in death that was painful for me to deal with. So I wanted to read about Josh who was able to beat the odds and go the extra mile. One of my favorite books for sure!
