I was never a big fast food fan to begin with, good thing, because this book would have ruined it for me. Interesting story not just about the gross stuff that they do to make the food taste good, but also about the impact the fast food industry has had on our culture.
I read this my first year of teaching because several student said they loved it so much. I taught it the next year. I liked the story and think it is a great read for teens about conformity. I hear of this book being read in middle school or younger and I don't agree with that. Even though it is easy to read, I don't think that kids can really understand the message about conformity until at least 8th grade. I also think its weird when elementary school kids read books about kids who are juniors or seniors in high school
