I only read George RR Martin's "The Hedge Knight" and Anne McCaffrey's "Runner of Pern" from this collection, which are very enjoyable short stories. I have not seen either of the stories available in other places. As for the other stories in the collection, either I have not read the authors, or am not caught up in their series to read them. Overall, an excellent anthology.

When I first started this book I had one thought: boooooring. I've since changed my mind. This book was really sweet, and I fell in love with Marley along with all the other goofballs who sang the praises of this book before me. I really think that one would have to be an animal lover to really appreciate this memoir, but it was also a cute story about a young couple turned young family. Truth be told, though, I didn't much care for the parts of the book that didn't involve Marley directly. It was definitely the dog that drove the book. This was a really, really easy read. When a slow reader like me can finish it in two days, you should know it has more to do with language level, segment length, word size and spacing than with a riveting plot. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I need a lot of time to get through books. If you want a book you can read in one sitting at the beach, this is probably it.
