This Book is pretty good, not amazing. this is the first book in the Alex Rider series. this wasn't the first of the Alex Rider books that i read, i first read Skeleton Key, which i was recommended at an early age to read by my mum. i quite enjoy the Alex rider series, it sort of gives you the feeling that age isn't a problem when achieving. this fits into my bingo boaerd category 'a book which has been made into a film.' i also watched the movie, as the bingo board says to. the movie was... in the nicest way possible... horrible. it only followed the basic plot and didn't have too much in common with the book. also, in the movie, Alex looks around 17 when he is supposed to be 14. i would recommend this book to anyone, really, it isn't gruesome, but it isn't lovely and pretty either. i would recommend the movie to no-one. my favourite quote from the book is "Her yellow lips were peeled back in an endless scream" a setting i found interesting was Port Tallon, it seems like a nice village that would be cool to visit sometime. something new i learnt was the variety of guns people are allowed in Britain.
