HILARIOUS! Charley Davidson is different. She is the grim reaper, which means she sees dead people. While working part time as an investigator she is a full-time reaper. Recently she has been having hot dreams about an entitiy that has been with her since she was born. This book was phenomonal to say the least. I was laughing out loud just about the whole book. But then again I couldnt stop flipping the pages. There was a great comibnation of suspense, comedy, and purely just incredible. Overall i cant wait to read the next installment in this book. It was one that kept me reading until the last page, which makes it one of the best. Darynda Jones is a phenomonal author and this was one of the best debuts I have ever read!

** spoiler alert ** Two fights in this volume. First Ippo's second fight as a pro, with a boxer who cheats by using headbutts. I thought it was charming that Umezawa and his two friends, all of whom used to bully Ippo, came to watch and were so impressed by Ippo's strength. Then the rookie championship arc began. Ippo is in different blocks from Miyata and Mashiba, but he gets a black boxer as his first match. Jason, newly arrived in Tokyo, is invited to spar by another boxer in the rookie championship, whom he hospitalizes. Rumor spreads about his hook and Ippo practices ducking with Takamura. The volume ends in the middle of the match between Ippo and Jason.

A good overview, or introduction to the events of WW1, with good maps. Unfortunately Taylors sneering tone is overwheling at points. I am in no way pro-war but I don't think this kind of thing helps-there is no need to put flippant captions to so many of the photographs. Good maps.
