This book is pee-your-pants funny! I must have appeared very strange to people on the bus while I was reading it and smiling and laughing out loud. Anyone who says it's blasphemous must have had her/his sense of humor surgically removed. Then again, with 12 years of Catholic schooling it's possible that the book is funnier to me than to someone who isn't familiar with the bible references. Either way, it's a well-written, delightful tale.
a bit of overload on being depressed... but some parts of it really hit the spot, especially where cultural and religious exploration are concerned...
