The story was really creapy, but I liked it. But Sarah kind was comfusing I know she died by falling off a tree, but how old was she at that time. The way she acted in the story made her seem like at least fourteen, but fourteen year olds don't carry dolls around.
I'm a sucker for stories from this era (1960's). I was just becoming an adult and starting out in life's adventures during this time. Joan Didion writes short essays about many of the people and events that were important at the time. I love the way she just reports what she finds and isn't judgmental. She's obviously a very intelligent author.
