Never have I met a more unsympathetic main character than Emma Bovary. I just wanted to smack her through the entire novel. Ugh!
I didn't finish this book, but it is on my re-read list. This was a great explanation about the golden mean and it's history. You would be very surprise how important this number is, and how much it actually influences you life. We all know & love "pi", but "phi" is the quite but powerful sister that has a randy side. The math in the book is lite, so you won't get bogged down in the proofs. I took away from this book a cleared understanding of ratios and how important they are in putting into our art, buildings, and sense of placement in space. This was a important read for stimulating my mind.
