I had heard of the book for quite some time but somehow never got to buying it. When the movie was out, bought it. A book written by a white guy which gave me an insight on japanese culture, traditions, some customs and of course, the initiation into what geisha aka comfort women was all about etc etc. Did not move me like it do some ppl when i read the review on Indian mags or WSJ/NYT as "mind-blowing".
