There really isn't anything that Anne Perry can't do! Her writing is so lush and really puts you in the middle of the lives of her characters and allows you to inhabit the locations of her extraordinary stories. While this one was a little heavy on the religion for my taste, it was an effective treatise on faith and what that means to an individual, a community and a country.
