Having all ready read Shannon Hale's Bayern Series I was intrigued to read a lovely spin off of another story. The concept of an optimum way of 17th century, Jane Austen-esq courtier was adorable. It was unfortenate the writer did not exceed not just to Austen's books but the general idea of 17th century matchmaking business. Her characters in the story was also unmemorable. The protagonist was a weak character who tried to be a strong but was in and out like the tide of the ocean. And the men! Not much a fantasy there. This fantasy of romance; this one had no passion, it was only fleeting.
