I love David Sedaris! This book made me laugh out loud in the middle of a crowded barracks in Afghanistan. This was book 4 of my afghan books! This was the last of Sedaris' books to read for me...all his are excellent. If you are in the need for some funny social commentary and an author who never hesitates to recognize and revel in his own foibles then his books are for you. My favorite parts of this book are in the second half dealing with his efforts to learn French...
I have used this book for my daisy troop and the girls enjoyed it. They came up with their own stories to tell after reading it. They liked that Juliette Low loved animals as most of them do too. It helped them understand the girl scouts and girl guidesa history. Very apropriate for girls in kindergarden and first grade.
