I really like the movies of The Lord of the Rings, but the books didn't to it for me. They were too slow and too much description of everything (as other commenter have described). I love the story, but I prefer it in the movie format. I might have read the second one, but when I went to see how many pages it was, the last page jumped out at me and gave away the ending of book two. At that point, I gave up.
I absolutely loved this book because i could really relate to Addie. i recommend it!
