This is a junior reader book...perhaps grades four and five although the typeset screams second or third...I picked it up for my homeschooled child...it was a sweet story about a very real time...what stuck me most though was the illustrations by Robert Papp...the were beautiful and made the book just that much more real
** spoiler alert ** I LOVED this book! It was FAN TAS TIC! I could not have enjoyed it more! Everyone was badass! I loved how it took a lot of work to regain their bond! I love how GROUN UP everyone is! Briar's grown into such a good guy and Sandry is so fierce! Daja's so steady even more than she used to be it was nice seeing her a little shaken I felt awful for her that she got her heart broken though. I love Tris! A LOT! Her control and snark and eeeeeverything! Plus Chime is my absolute favourite dragon! :) I really enjoyed the story, it moved along quickly and was exciting. The Empress was a good nemesis because she wasn't truly evil just had her character spoiled by getting all she wanted ;)
