A hilarious satire, The Misanthrope doesn't have any moments quite as funny as the funniest in Moliere's The Learned Ladies - namely Trissotin's sonneteering - but the critique of society in this play is stronger.
Very good writing with a strong plot. Josie has left the urban fight of Manhattan for an antiques business in New Hampshire. Engaging cast of regular characters are developing and with the dead bodies crossing her path I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Josie. A nice blend of coziness, crime and antiques!
