This was suggested to me because of my adoration of Pride and Prejudice. I checked it out and then realized that it was classified under "Romance" on Good Reads, which, in my stereotypical quick judgement, brings to mind the trashy paperback aisle in the grocery store, so I refused to open the thing. With some prodding and the reassurance that if Pride and Prejudice wasn't shelved as Classical first, it would also be "romance", I suspiciously gave it a go. Pride and Prejudice it ISN'T! but it is a humorous, shamelessly predictable romp that is so unrealistically ludicrous by the end that I was in utter disbelief--BUT--except for the frequent deistic vanities that I had to constantly replace, I have to admit that I quite enjoyed it, as the light-hearted floof that it is, and it had me laughing out loud numerous times. There are no lasting messages here--just pure comedy and entertainment, but sometimes that is just the ticket.
