This book was truly amazing! I cannot believe it took me so long to read! It was whitty, charming, funny, frustrating, suspenseful, romantic and above all it was written by Oscar Wilde. How can any one not love it? He is truly the only author who has a complete and total insight and comprehension of human nature and society the dark side and the light side. I learned so much and at the same time nothing at all because I felt like I knew it already. If you have not read this incrediable and compelling work you need to now. The tale of Jack and Algernons adventure on finding the women they love is light hearted and hard to put down with a interesting twist at the end to show the true importance of Being Earnest! This read lifted my spirits and sent me on a truly enjoyable journey with the music of his rich and erudite writing a constant companion through out that allowed me to play it out in my mind as if I was at my own personal theatre =]
So I picked this book up after not being able to finish it. It started out kind of slow and at times I was confused if we were going backwards in the story or forwards. I did like everyone's different point of view. At times the discriptions were a bit long winded and I skimmed some parts. (view spoiler) I also skimmed the sailing bits becasue I do not know a thing about sailing and was confused. All in all it was an okay read, but was very hard to get into at first. Glad I finished it though.
