Typical Marsh Inspector Roderick Allen of Scotland Yard mystery. One of her earlier ones written in the late 1930's. Plot involves black mail, murder, and associated relationship problems involving the British upper class. There are many issues which need to be resolved in order to solve the mysterywhich leads to many twists.
If I could give it a 6 I would.
I didn't think I would enjoy this book because I'm not into fantasty stuff, but I DID! You just can't stop reading it until you get to the end.
This is a guilty read--a bit of a romance novel set in prehistoric times. Yes, I'm a nerd... But I admit that this book was a page turner. It is the third book in the trilogy, and I haven't read the first two yet. But they are supposedly even better than this one.
