I heard an interview with the author, Kayla Williams, and was intrigued. This is not inline with my usual reading choices (although they are quite varied). While I found the writing a bit more colloquial than what I usually read, it introduced a lot of interesting reflections on her time in Iraq. If you’re looking for a quick, easy read that relates to current issues, this would be well worth picking up.

I enjoyed the overall experience and the smart political commentary paired with the idea of the non-super-hero.
