Entertaining anecdotes about a little known country. He interjected a little jr. high locker room humor a few times, but it was to be endured to enjoy the stories of the people & out of the way places on this continent.
This book is the first installment of The last witch series. This is a fast read. It's about a mystical girl named Faith who thinks she doesn't fit in our world and is quite fed up with her daily routine, until she meets up with a vampire named Trent and they become up close and personal. Then Faith meets an old friend of her fathers who sadly has passed away a while ago, and she and Trent tell her about her special witch abilities, and how her father really died. Together with a new friend werewolf they will work together and fight to get back the vampire race's Blood Gem has been stolen along with the werewolf' race's Moon Gem. It is up to Faith and all her friends to find the gems and return them to their rightful owners. Faith and her friends overcome many obstacles including finding out that Faith's own mother is one of their biggest enemies and that Faith herself would have to fight her. The battle is short in the end but keeps you on the edge of your seat. I was quite pleased with the first book and couldn't wait to start the second book.
