Excellent read. One of my favorite authors.
One of the best books I've read in a while. The first few pages were a little slow and chapters seemingly unrelated, but as it progresses, the story gains more and more dimensions. The pace picks up and it is impossible to put the book down. I read it everywhere - on the tube, during breaks at work...I would recommend it to anyone who loves suspense, secrets and isn't afraid of a few gory details. Definitely worth reading, but don't start unless you know you have time to finish it:)
This book is the pinnacle of science fiction. The first four books of the Dune series are absolute must-reads for any science fiction fan. (I've read them three times so far.) And this book is the climax to the whole series. The last two books are okay, but didn't impress me as much as the first four.
I really enjoyed this.
The problem I am having with The DaVinci Code is that I attempted to read it shortly after Dan Brown's, Angels and Demons. It started out so much like Angels and Demons that I was disillusioned very early on. I decided to put it away for awhile and go back to it when Angels and Demons was not so fresh in my mind. My daughter read this book before and I passed along Angels and Demons to her and she kept telling me it was a lot like DaVinci Code. I thought she must be crazy since I thought it was clearly one of the best I had read, but now I see what she was saying. I will get to it at some point, since I enjoyed Angels and Demons so much.
