An excellent book. Sara Green did not know much about the circus life before she wrote this book. She learned all about it by doing research. Mathilde.
A good, satisfying read -- a little bit choppy (jumping from one plot point to the next, as does the movie -- which is why I picked up the book), but overall it's well done. I'm not sure if I would have liked the book as much if I hadn't seen the movie first. It's funny how a single line in a book can take on a lot more importance when you see it onscreen.
