I really liked this book. It shed some light on something that is always there, but not normally unsheltered. 'Dumster babies' are what I'm talking about. But the book itself moved a bit slow--so I gave it a 4 star rating.
This reads like a dark fairy tale - a bit slow in some places, it still easily transports you into a semi-post apocalyptic world where the monsters of myth and legend lurk in every shadow. The battle of good vs. evil and light vs. dark is a bit tired, but gets reinvented here. I ate this book up in two days.
A beautifully written and illustrated Easter book for children.
