This book goes back and forth in time. When I'd read 3 pages it jumped to a different era and I had already gotten so completely engrossed in it that the time change came as an actual physical shock. I felt it in my entire body. Can't wait to read the rest! So, now I'm done, and I'd probably prefer to give the book 4.5 not 5, just because it's not perfect, but it's definitely better than 4, and I recommend it highly. Each story was engrossing on it's own and informed the rest of the stories.
