A decent mystery novel. Not terribly suspenseful, but serviceable. I couldn't stomach the canned recurring characters, though (well, I'm assuming they are recurring throughout her novels, though this is my first), the third-person-omniscient POV is a little over-used, and James doesn't do enough to cultivate the environment for her mystery to take place in. It felt a bit like she was just going through the motions of writing a novel.
