I give this book five stars. Wow. I really enjoyed this book. I actually bought it and then forgot about it, only to find it a year later. I love the fact that this book stays true to vampire mythology. (No sparkling skin or 'vegetarian' vampires here!) It is quite gory though, so I wouldn't recommend it for younger readers. I also thought the idea of bringing religion into the story made it different, and gave an interesting spin on the storyline. I applaud Christopher Pike for spinning such a believable and exciting story!
