Angela's Ashes is a fantastic story told by the author Frank McCourt about his child hood growing up in poverty first in America and then in Ireland. Throughout the story he paints a vivid picture of life as a poor child growing up during the great depression. If you can stand to hear of the heartbreak and sorrow of a child growing up poor with an alcoholic father the book is a fantastic story but one that will defiantly pull on your heart strings every step of the way.
