OK. I'm a bit hesitant to recommend a book that can be described as a "time traveling romance," but I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed this. It's a great summertime book. A compulsively readable (is that a phrase?) plot, decent-enough writing, and oh yeah, hot Scottish men in kilts. What's not to love?
Book 2 continues the education, both social and magical of Kim (a la Professor Higgins). Mairelon's name has been cleared, but someone else has found a way to use power from other magicians and needs to be found fast.
