Not as exciting as Ender's Game or as focused as Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide is a pretty solid effort that keeps the Ender cycle moving along nicely. Card does a nice job of (sort of) combining the stories of the previous two books and developing both books' themes. This novel isn't as riveting as the previous two installments, but fans of the series will definitely enjoy it.
