I like the story, kind of. Seen the movie production with Cybil Shepard. She's kind of an annoying character is Daisy. A novelthat it is often taught in college (I have already had it in two of my classes) so I suppose it is something one should know. At least it is a short novel.

Book Basics Title: The Demon King Author: Cinda Williams Chima Published November 19th 2009 by HYPERION Format Read: Purchased Hardcover Number of Pages: 506 Summary From Goodreads: This novel marks the first giant step in a momentous fantasy journey orchestrated by Cinda Williams Chima, the author of the popular Warrior Heir series. Its two chief protagonists are ex-thief Han Alister, an impoverished commoner, and Raisa ana'Marianna, the headstrong Princess Heir of the Fells. The Demon King brings them together, creating part of a volatile mix of action, magic, and danger. Empathetic characters; wizardly attacks. What made me keep turning the page? The constant action and adventure The world building aspect The alternating points of view (between Han and Raisa) Trying to figure out the mystery behind Hans and his cuffs Raisa’s spirit and determination The way the author intertwines these two very different people Any complaints? Nope! Recommendation: Fans of epic fantasy Final Thoughts… This is one of those books that immediately transports you to a different world, where anything can happen! While this is a long book, you never get bored because the story is told back and forth between the two main characters. The Demon King has a Lord of the Rings feel, but it is much faster paced and easier to follow. I will most definitely be reading the rest of this series!
