I really loved this book. I had enjoyed Cannery Row and enjoyed this book that brought the characters back with a little romance. I also enjoyed a paper my teacher had us do about the beginning. We had to write a paper that hoopdedoodled.

Oh how I used to love these books when I was young! My local trade-a-book has a few, so I picked one up. I chose The Secret of Shadow Ranch because it takes place on George and Bess's uncle's ranch, where there are plenty of horses and cowboys! All in all, a fun read.
