Payback time was probably the most inspiring book I have ever read. It not only showed that this world is dangerous but showed a kid who not only went from 210 pounds to 170 in one football season but also covered a story that would be the biggest in Washington state. He started out at the end of the year hoping that he would make the editor for his high school paper but ended up losing against a girl who he thought won just because she was popular but as you see throughout the book comes to know that she works hard at anything she does. I think that anyone that doesn’t play sports should read this to get the motivation to go and at least try to. I think that anyone should read this book because it could be a life changing experience. This book shows the courage and thoughtfulness of one of the best books by Carl Deuker. He brought out a character that not only challenged but also under pressure. I think that this is a book that should be an inspiration to everyone that reads it. It has intense moments that will keep you on your toes. Then other times it slows down to give you a rest and show what is going on. Through the whole book you don’t even want to put it down. It shows us what the real world is like. It takes us from our reality and shows us some other reality that we haven’t ever herd of. The things in this book will knock you of your rocker, not because it is hard on us but because it snaps us awake. Those that think they are no good for nothings should read this book because this book will boost their sprits. There are too many people in this world that need help. This book will defiantly throw them a rope. All in all, this book is like the best. It shows us how things are. It also sets a precedent for people to stop the bad things and get on with their life. I agree with this book and recommend it to anyone that is willing to read it.
