Considering the book is 500 pages, it was a quick read and held my interest and the story was good. There is a romance along with some suspense. Given the kind of books I usually read :) and the topics that are covered in this book, it is a surprisingly clean book.
I read this a long time ago, and I think it was the timing but I found it so intriguing and helpful and powerful for me, personally. Probably all the college coming-of-age questions that were floating around in my head torturing me! Nonetheless, it asks (and attempts to answer) some BIG questions.
