Ah, dystopia. This was one of the first. An easy afternoon read. Rush made a song about it. Before there was 1984, before The Brave New world, before science fiction even had a name their was Anthem. It's a short (100 pages) and enjoyable to read, not the most complex metaphor, but it definitely examines what Anne Rand thought was so bad about extreme communism. A clever little book for those with a flavor for the philosophical and mythological.
