I would give this 3 1/2 stars if there were the option. Susan was extremely annoying to me the first half of the book, and only slightly less annoying the second half. At least then, I could feel her emotion and connection to Ravyn, whom I adored. Love him, he and the Cael/Amaranda storyline saved it big time for me. Nick just keeps slipping farther and farther...but damn he's hot. Luckily the action picked up with characters I cared about in the second half, and I finally warmed up to Susan kind of like left over microwaved fast food. Looking forward to the next one, and I am working on it now.
