Yes, Colin Meloy from the Decemberists wrote a book. About growing up in nerdy and wanting to be a punk in Helena, Montana and finding solace in the music and story of the Replacements of Minnesota. I had to buy it when I discovered it at the store. It's great. This guy can write.
My favorite book so far by this author! It followed the life of Nefertari, the niece of Nefertiti, and her romance with Ramesses. Interspersed with their story, you also hear the story of Ahmoses who comes to ask that his people be set free although the story is told a bit differently than in the Bible.
