What's not to like? History, England, the pastoral, all told in a charming voice. I had fun recognizing the people and incidents that were expanded and dramatized for the TV series.
A very interesting question: what if you believed you were a normal kid, loved your parents, had a good life...and then saw your face on a milk carton. The author provides a reasonable solution to the evil parent dilemma and its an decent read. She does feel like its necessary to resolve the question, unfortunately.
