I love Stephenson's style. I don't know how to describe it properly: very conversational, and he can be quite funny. I loved each of the stories interwoven together in this story about code-making and -breaking. But the ending kind of ruined this book for me. Turns out all those fascinating little stories he'd been telling? didn't really have anything to do with anything. The end of this book is completely underwhelming, and left me very deflated after spending so much time on this (very long) book.
Excellent, excellent book.
