So I finally finished this novel and I wanted to give it five stars but I'm sticking with four because it's a great book but it's a struggle emotionally to keep up. The literary part of this story is out of this world. Mark did an incredible job giving a different perspective of Germans & Nazis. It's slow, it's draining and sometimes almost Suffocating. It's also extraordinary and beautiful. Maybe we are all haunted by humans.
Amazing book about Earnest Shackleton's 1914 Arctic expedition. Highly recommended to me year's ago, and I finally got to it. The audiobook was wonderful. Edge of your seat incredible story telling.
