Joe Henderson is one of the pioneers of running and his insight is certainly valuable. Sometimes the information seemed dated which is expected because the book IS dated. However, I enjoyed his stories. The book seemed to end rather abruptly and not all of the transitions were smooth throughout, but all in all, this is a nice book that any runner should enjoy.
This was really one of my favorite books of the series so far. I mean, yeah, I love the character of Edward, so that might have contributed a wee bit, but still, the story was great, and it felt like a meatier book than the rest of them. I liked the fact that it was seriously just an Edward and Anita book. I thought I really wouldn't like the lack of Richard and Jean-Claude, but it helped me get more into the Anita Blake world, I think.
